Seehotel Leoni

This hotel sits RIGHT on the lake and it was a breeze to walk down to the lovely lounge chairs and jump into the water. (The most clean and beautiful lake I have ever been in!) Our room overlooked the lake. It was a wonderful room with full amenities, a lot of extra space, comfy beds and even a fan. (We were there during a VERY hot spell and most other hotels didn’t have fans and NONE had air conditioning.) The balcony door stayed open all night long due to the heat without bug in sight! Just an amazing feeling space all the way around. We ate both lunch and dinner at the patio restaurant and enjoyed very well prepared meals with polite and knowledgeable servers. There were no rules about swimming in the lake, like there often is in the US, so we also went swimming again after dinner. I cannot wait to go back again, especially since we realized upon check out that they also rent bikes! Parking was free and super easy to get to.

Great location with direct access to the lake, stunning sunsets and only a short drive to Munich (30 mins) or the Alps (Zugspitze is only 90mins).

We liked the location, however we realised that a car would of been useful. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was excellent — food very fresh and a lot of choice. Main meals were good, however it was always the same choice — Menu card was not changed.
